Safety Representative Training

The role of the Safety Representative is underpinned in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, which confirms that employees are entitled to select at least one individual as a Safety Representative to make representation to management with regard to Health and Safety in the workplace.

This training course conforms to the guidance set by the Health and Safety Authority and provides a very comprehensive foundation to Health and Safety which is vital for the effective management of safety in the workplace

Course content:

  1. Introduction to Health & Safety
  2. Function and Role of the Safety Representative, duties governed under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005, associated Legislation and Regulations.
  3. Utilising Hazard identification, Risk assessment and Control Measures.
  4. Safety Statements.
  5. Accident Investigation
  6. Workplace Inspection
  7. Communication
  8. Safety Audits

Duration : 1 day

Maximum Number of Participants: 10

Certification: Certificate of Attendance

Venue: In House Training at your site or at a convenient conference venue
