Medical Assessment of Occupational Injury / Illness
MedWise provide medical assessment of Occupational Injury in cases where the employee has been injured at work or has developed an illness which could be related to their work
The Occupational Health Physician will:
- Evaluate the extent, severity and impact of the injury.
- Review the treatment plan.
- Advise on prognosis and estimated return to work date
- Recommend a return to work program
We also offer case management services where we actively manage and co-ordinate the employee’s medical treatment to accelerate recovery and return to work.
The MedWise Occupational Health Physician will
- Document a clear and comprehensive medical report based on object medical evidence from the consultation.
- Recommend follow up actions to management
Occupational Injury Policy Development
Employers are obliged to notify certain workplace accidents and dangerous occurrences to the Health & Safety Authority. The employer should have in place an Accident / Incident recording system to ensure that all such notifiable incidents are reported. In addition there should be a systematic investigation of all injuries/incidents will identify measures that can be put in place to prevent recurrence.
