Occupational First Aid Certificate

Fetac Level 5 Certificate

This comprehensive three day First Aid course covers all the essential aspects of Occupational First Aid and follows the course requirements laid out in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and First Aid Regulations 1993 and 2007.

On successful completion of this course your employees will have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide first aid within the workplace, deal with first aid emergencies, provide basic life saving skills in the workplace

Successful participants will be registered as Occupational First Aiders with Fetac certification

Course content:

Lesson 1: Assessment, Accident Scene Management

Lesson 2: Circulation, Wounds and Bleeding

Lesson 3: Respiration, Foreign body airway obstruction

Lesson 4: C.P.R. (50% of this session to include student practice) + AED

Lesson 5: Unconsciousness

Lesson 6: Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations

Lesson 7: Burns and Scalds, Chemical / Poisons, Electric Shock

Lesson 8: Medical Emergencies, Crush and Spinal Injuries

Lesson 9: Casualty Transportation

Revision: Examination

Duration : 3 days (24 hours)

Maximum Number of Participants: 10

Certification: Fetac Level 5 Certificate in Occupational First Aid, valid for 2 years as per new HSA guidelines.

Venue: In House Training at your site or at a convenient conference venue
