Specialist Occupational Health Physician
Dr Deirdre Gleeson has worked in the field of Occupational Medicine since 1998. Dr Gleeson has worked as an Occupational Physician both in the Public Service and Private sectors.
Before becoming Medical Director at MedWise, Dr Gleeson has practised Occupational Health with the following organisations:
- The Civil Service’s Occupational Health Department.
- CIE Occupational Health Department.
- Southern Health Board’s Occupational Health Department.
- Employment Health Advisers (EHA) Ltd. a leading OH Service provider in Cork.
- Galway Mayo Institute of Technology’s Student Health Unit.
- Beaumont Hospital Occupational Health Department
- Mater Hospital Occupational Health Department
Dr Gleeson is a member of the faculty of Occupational Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
In 2004, Dr Gleeson completed a four year specialist training program in Occupational Health and is recognised by the Irish Medical Council as a specialist in Occupational Health medicine.
Dr Gleeson also holds a Diploma in Occupational Medicine from University College Dublin (2000), and is a qualified General Practitioner (1996).
Occupational Health and Safety Consultant
Ms. Carol Kennedy RGN H Dip Occ Health CMIOSH RSP joins MedWise as our Occupational Health and Safety Consultant. Carol has worked in this specialist field since 2003.
Before joining MedWise, Carol held Health and Safety Management positions with large national organisations in the Food Sector.
Before working in managemen,. Carol worked as an Occupational Health Nurse with several companies in the private sector.
Qualifications
Carol has a H.Dip in Applied Science (Occupational Health and Hygiene).
Carol is completing her MSc in Research Masters in Risk Management, specialising in food safety, fire safety and occupational health and safety.

Business Manager
Dan MacCarthy is an Engineering Consultant who provides Quality Systems expertise to Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Companies.
Dan is responsible for Business Development in Medwise.

Elizabeth O’Shaugnnessy is responsible for the day to day operation of the clinic including scheduling, reception and invoicing.
